Amenities and resources include a video room, on-site conditioning space and a full-service pro shop. Since 1998, the facility continues to reinvent itself in innovative ways to continue to invest in and support the needs of our members. Through these partnerships the facility plays host to USA Hockey and United States Figure Skating Association tournaments, events and competitions showcasing the best talent in North America and our future stars. The Ice Den Scottsdale is home to the Coyotes Amateur Hockey Association and its Junior Coyotes teams, as well as the Coyotes Skating Club of Arizona. Figure skaters have access to hundreds of hours of ice and instruction from internationally acclaimed coaches. Players committed to a hockey career at the next level can elect to compete at the AA and AAA levels in the travel hockey league. Hockey programs focus on player development starting with Pre-Hockey, followed by the Initiation Program, where players learn the rules of the game and game play to prepare for the house recreational league. Participants as young as 2½, can take their second, first steps in our nationally recognized Learn to Skate program which provides the foundation for an ice sport journey into hockey or figure skating. Offering hockey and skating programs for all ages and abilities, the facility features three (3) NHL regulation surfaces, standard and pro style locker rooms. The Ice Den Scottsdale, conveniently located off the 101 in north Scottsdale, is a 150,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art ice sports center and the official practice facility of the NHL's Arizona Coyotes Hockey club.įrom a vast piece of land in the middle of the desert, over the past two decades the Ice Den Scottsdale has grown to become an invaluable community asset serving as a welcoming second home for its members.
